Holly Chandler:
Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist (BACP student member)
“Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.” ― Søren Kierkegaard
My name is Holly Chandler and I am a trainee Integrative Psychotherapist working in the low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston and Dalston, Hackey, London E8.
I am currently seeing clients face-to-face and online, for short and long-term work.
I am currently training for a BSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling at the University of East London. I am also a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
By specialising in integrative psychotherapy, it allows me to draw upon the best approach suited to you and tailor sessions to your needs.
My approach mainly draws upon humanistic and existential approaches, but some clients may be more suited to psychodynamic sessions.
These words may be overwhelming if therapy is new to you, but the most important thing about the way I work is providing a space for you, to be held with whatever you’re with.
The most important aspect of therapy for me is creating a relationship in which you feel safe to explore.
Having gone through the therapy process myself, I know that reaching out for help can be a daunting first step, but I can assure you that I have seen how therapy can help from both the client’s and therapist’s perspectives.
In addition to HQ Therapy, I also volunteer as a trainee psychotherapist at a charity for those who struggle with substance misuse and eating disorders and have a lot of experience in this field.
The process will begin with an introductory session which will provide an opportunity to discuss the difficulties you are facing and the way in which therapy may help, and I can answer any questions you have about therapy.
There is no commitment required following this introductory meeting, so if in doubt; reach out.
