Kate Joseph:
Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist (BACP)
Hello, my name is Kate Joseph and I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist offering therapy online or in person from HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston Hackney, London E8.
My style is warm, flexible and collaborative. My primary focus is building a trusting therapeutic relationship in which clients feel safe to explore whatever brings them to therapy.
As an Integrative therapist, I believe there is no one size fits all approach. I am trained to tailor therapy to the individual needs of each client, drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches in which I am trained.
This includes Attachment Theory (AT), Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Somatic and CBT approaches (both second and third wave models).
I offer short, medium or long-term work, depending on your circumstances and hopes for therapy.
Experience and qualifications
I have over 7 years of experience working across NHS, private, and third sector settings.
I work with a broad range of clients across a number of issues and concerns including but not limited to, trauma and abuse, loss and grief, relationship difficulties, identity, career and work-related issues, and low self-esteem.
I have particular interest and experience in working with women in the perinatal period experiencing issues around fertility, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, adjusting to parenthood, identity issues, attachment and bonding difficulties and relationship struggles.
I hold a BACP-endorsed Post-graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and regularly update my skills and knowledge with continued professional development with training.
I am fully insured, DBS checked and am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and abide by its code of ethics.
How it works
I offer an initial 15-minute call free of charge to discuss any questions before booking an initial consultation.
Our first consultation would then be an opportunity to explore in greater detail what brings you to therapy, your hopes and crucially to get a sense of how it is to work together.
If you decide you would like to continue, we would agree on a time for a regular weekly 50-minute session.
Fees
The Standard 50-minute session fee is £65.
I am committed to driving greater access to therapeutic services and I offer some allocated reduced-rate therapy cost slots for those without the means to pay the standard rate. Please get in touch to discuss this option.
