Perfect for mushroom spawn jars and liquid culture jars. These lids are far superior to one piece plastic spawn jar lids. The reason is these lids were specifically made for canning whereas the plastic lids are not for canning but are storage lids for mason jars. Plastic lids can let in air through the lid threads. Lids have a silicone ring embedded in lid to keep contaminants out. Never boil lids as silicone will be damaged. Each lid has a 13mm self healing injection port and a gas exchange adhesive filter over each opening. Note: (Jar bands not included) (Take care not to bend lids.) Hand assembled in the USA.
