  • Nutritious food source to support pet health
  • Fed on high quality fresh organic greens
  • Packed in standard tubs for convenient storage

Locusts, or hoppers as they are otherwise known, are a great food for so many pets. From juveniles to fully grown adults, the range of sizes available means you could fed everything from spiders and frogs, to dragons and geckos. They are easy to handle and active enough to encourage natural feeding behaviours in your pet.

Locust Care

Our locusts are raised on fresh, organic greens to ensure they are as nutritious as possible when they arrive with you. We recommend that you continue to provide them with fresh greens whilst they are with you to maintain maximum nutritional benefit to your pets. You can also add some insect food for extra nutrition and bug gel for moisture to keep them in tip top condition. Check out our great range of insects foods in our livefood care section.

Prior to feeding, lightly dust the locusts with a vitamin and mineral mix to give your pets an extra nutrition boost.

Keep your locusts in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and extremes of temperature.

Packaging Information

These locusts are supplied in a specialist bag that keeps the cool, dark and ventilated. If you aren't feeding them all in one session, you may wish to move them to a separate plastic tub such as a faunarium or cricket keeper for longer term storage. Simply cut the tie at the top of the bag then transfer the locusts to their new quarters.

See the table below for information on how many locusts, on average, are in a pack.
