These plastic carboys are a great alternative to heavy and fragile glass carboys. They are made of 100% Virgin PET plastic, which keeps oxygen out better than regular plastic. They are also lighter and safer to use, especially if you need to move them around to find the best temperature for fermentation. Glass carboys can break and injure you, but plastic carboys are more durable and economical. They also have smooth sides, which makes them easier to clean. Just soak them in B-Brite or PBW overnight, shake, rinse, and sanitize. Avoid scrubbing them too hard to prevent scratches.
