Alec Williams (MBACP):
Integrative Counsellor & Coach
My name is Alec Williams, I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and coach and a registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working at HQ Therapy Rooms in Hackney, London E8.
Whether you are coming to counselling and coaching for the first time or you have been before, I offer a safe and supportive space where we can explore some of the issues you are presently dealing with and make a plan for moving forward.
Everyone arrives at therapy with their own individual story and I believe that there can be no one-size-fits-all approach. As an ‘integrative’ counsellor and coach, I make use of different techniques and approaches from within both counselling and coaching to create an approach that offers the best fit for you.
In working together, we will have the opportunity to explore and understand the relationship you have with yourself, identify and address negative thought and behavioural patterns, and set and begin working towards goals and aspirations for what you want to achieve.
Qualifications & experience:
I am professionally trained and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I hold over 10 years’ experience of working in different roles within mental health settings, including acute psychiatric settings and the charity sector.
I also practice as an Honorary Psychotherapist at Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures on a wide range of psychological issues. I specialise in supporting people to manage and overcome issues related to anxiety, depression and self-confidence and have been a facilitator of the group ‘Understanding and Managing Anxiety’ at the service.
My services & fees:
I offer short-term and open-ended therapy both online and face-to-face for individuals.
If you’re interested in working together, please get in touch either by telephone or email to arrange an initial telephone/online consultation where we will have the opportunity to introduce ourselves, discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, and see if we are a good fit.
After an initial consultation (free), fees are £60 per 50-min session. There are a limited number of reduced-fee places available for those on lower incomes.
