Daniel Goldie (MBACP):
Integrative Counsellor & Therapist
My name is Daniel Goldie, I am a qualified MBACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Therapist working at HQ Therapy Rooms in Hackney, E8.
Often in life we find ourselves stuck or overwhelmed, perhaps repeating unhelpful patterns. Therapy can help get through difficult times or help us find space for personal growth. I offer a non-judgmental space in which we’ll explore your experience and find a way forward.
I’m an Integrative therapist which means I draw on a range of approaches. Therapy is different for different people. The way we work will depend on you and what you are looking for, it will evolve with our relationship. I work in a way that follows your pace but also allows for challenge, lightness, and creativity.
I’ve worked in mental health and social care for the last ten years. During this time, I’ve worked in and managed services for people facing a range of issues including; severe and enduring mental illness; learning disability; drugs and alcohol misuse; and histories of trauma and homelessness. I’ve held a director role at a charity developing supported housing and recovery services and worked as a therapist in a London university as well as in a low-cost therapy service at the Minster Centre in West London. In addition to my more “hands on” work I’ve also worked as a commissioner of mental health services for the NHS and social services which has given me a broad perspective of what’s available out there.
I came to psychotherapy because it is the most human and most flexible approach I’ve come across, one that places authenticity and individuality at the centre of the work.
Give me a call or email to arrange an initial consultation session. When we meet we’ll talk about what has brought you to therapy and get a sense of how we could work together.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and at the same time each week. I tend to work in a long term open ended way but can also offer shorter term work. Expectations and goals can change, this is fine and we will figure it out along the way.
I charge £60-£70 per session based on time and affordability. Initial consultation sessions are £30.
