My name is Daniel Wiegand and I am a qualified Person-Centred counsellor practicing from HQ Therapy Rooms here in Haggerston, E8.
Working in a person-centred way means I work through offering you empathy, acceptance and warmth as you explore what has brought you to counselling. With me, you will have a safe and supportive space to share your feelings and experiences that you may not be able to share elsewhere.
My philosophy is that it is the relationship between us, our connection; that can help and heal. It’s important then that we have an initial session to see if you’re happy and comfortable working with me and to get a sense of how we might work together.
I have worked for many years as an honorary therapist and volunteer for the LGBTQ+ community both here in London and in New York City. I gained my counselling qualifications in Person-Centred Therapy in London and then I further studied Focusing-Oriented Therapy in New York City.
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting people who live far from home and the issues of belonging that can bring.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am bound by their Ethical Framework.
