Sylvia Cowell (MBACP):
My name is Sylvia Cowell, and I am a qualified Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) working in private practice from HQ Therapy Rooms in Hackney, E8.
Do you feel that you can’t talk to anyone? Do you feel that your feelings don’t matter to those around you? Do you feel that you are tired of pretending you are strong and don’t need help? Are unsatisfied in your relationships due to sexual problems?
I would love to help you talk about your feelings, get in touch with who you are and what you need from others in your life. I can help you build your inner resilience and learn to be compassionate to yourself. I can help you with your low moods, anxiety, and stress. I can also help you to have a more positive and satisfying sexual relationship.
I use traditional Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytical counselling skills fused with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy tools. I help you to identify the negative thoughts that you have about yourself that is harming your self-esteem.
I will help you to challenge your anxieties and help you get in touch with being able to express how you feel instead of bottling it up. I will see you whether you want only one session for something specific or for as long as you want.
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work within their ethical framework and code of conduct. I have completed clinical training at Birkbeck, London University; Institute of Group Analysis and Tavistock Relationships.
I charge £50 for an initial consultation session which lasts 60 minutes. If you decide to continue with further sessions the fees are as follows:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy £50 per session
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy £60 per session
Psychosexual Therapy £75 per session
