Zeinab Moghnieh:
Zeinab Moghnieh Trainee Counsellor & Psychotherapist (BACP student member)
Hello there! My name is Zeinab Moghnieh, I am a trainee Counsellor/Psychotherapist working in the low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston and Dalston, Hackney, London E8.
I am an empathic listener who is committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space that will allow you to feel comfortable in bringing whatever you want into the therapy room.
Whether you are feeling stressed, anxious, dealing with cultural pressures, looking to nourish the important relationships in your life or even if you don’t have a “why”. That’s okay!
Therapy is all about going on a self-discovery journey which increases your self-awareness and, along the way allows you to understand the nature of your thoughts, emotions, and triggers and how your patterns of behaviour have a big impact on your daily living.
I believe that society’s pressures have instilled feelings of fear and shame that may stop us from living a more aligned and empowered life.
My aim is to help guide you on how you can be the person you want to be, to be at peace with the decisions you make, focus on your core values, and to live a life of meaning and purpose.
You are the most critical and important person in the works! – I use an integrative approach which means that no set plan works the same for two people. We will work at your own pace and my approach aims to incorporate aspects of theory and practice from three main therapeutic traditions; person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, and psychodynamic.
I am currently studying in my final year of a three-year MA programme in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Roehampton.
I am also a student member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its code of ethics.
Alongside, working as a therapist. I volunteer at the Listening Place working with people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings and at Age UK, supporting the elderly who experience loneliness. I have years of experience caring for vulnerable adults as a Mental Health Recovery Worker.
While providing emotional support, I create meaningful relationships with the individuals I care for and take pride in my integrity, humility, and ability to deliver the most effective support.
I work with one-to-one individual and adult therapy (16+). I am currently available for both face-to-face short and long-term work.
Thank you for reading this and I am here for you.
