Charlie Gladwell:
Trainee Existential Psychotherapist (BACP)
Hi, my name is Charlie Gladwell, and I am a trainee existential psychotherapist registered with the BACP.
I am currently in my final year of my Doctorate in existential psychotherapy and counselling at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC).
I’m committed to providing a compassionate, collaborative space to understand your experience. I see therapy as a space to explore what it means to be you, right now, in your life.
My approach is rooted in the belief that we all encounter periods of difficulty, uncertainty, and questioning in our lives. Rather than treating these moments as problems to be fixed,
I view them as invitations to deepen self-understanding and reconnect with what matters. I aim to be alongside you in this process, curious, open, and non-judgmental.
In our work together, I’ll support you in exploring your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and relationships at your own pace. I won’t offer one-size-fits-all solutions.
Instead, I’ll draw from a range of approaches – including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, parts work, focusing, and mindfulness practices -only when they feel useful to you and your process.
For the last 5 years, I’ve worked in multiple roles in mental health with people navigating a wide range of human experiences: from anxiety, low mood, and relationship challenges to OCD, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
I feel these experiences have shown me that our pain often makes sense in the context of our lives and that therapy can be a powerful way to make meaning, foster resilience, and move forward.
Above all, I see therapy as a space where you don’t have to pretend to be anything other than who you are. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious about yourself, I’m here to meet you where you are.
