Aida Kerdoudi:
Attachment-Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (fully qualified & registered MBACP)
I am an Attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist based at HQ therapy rooms, Highbury, who has completed four years of UKCP-accredited training at the Bowlby Centre.
I am a fully qualified therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy ( MBACP).
I work with adult individuals who are looking to make sense of their past and present difficulties within a safe and containing environment.
In addition to my private practice, I work with parents and infants as a perinatal psychotherapist within a parent-infant mental health service in the NHS.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Bowlby’s attachment theory, which focuses on the long-lasting impact of our earliest relationships with childhood caregivers, such as our parents.
I have a particular interest in attachment trauma; I am also skilled in providing psychological support in a perinatal mental health setting.
My additional areas of interest include:
- Relationship difficulties
- Anxiety
- Loss
- Loneliness
- Self-esteem and confidence issues
- Shame
- Unresolved trauma
- Depression / low mood
- Racism and social biases
- Challenges of becoming or being a parent
