Dr. Will Tadros:
Clinical Psychologist (HCPC)
Hi, I’m Will. I’m a clinical psychologist, and you can find me at HQ Highbury, online, and out in the park.
I mainly work outdoors because I believe that having a connection to our world is essential for living well. Depression, anxiety, overwhelming emotions, trauma – being outdoors helps with all of these. And if you are unsure about being outdoors, I also offer sessions in the office and online, with the option of going for a walk together if it makes sense.
Wherever we meet, I will work to help you understand why you are struggling, the way you are, and what you can do to make changes. My understanding is that most people’s struggles are actually attempts to cope with painful or traumatic experiences. Once we understand this, we can stop blaming ourselves for struggling and instead work out new, healthier ways of coping and living.
Ultimately, my goal will always be to help you live a richer, more meaningful life. Early on, we will identify what matters to you and then start making plans for helping you to move towards these parts of your life. Therapy works best when it gives us hope and moves us towards meaning. I will always hold this in mind when working with you.
I completed an undergraduate Honours degree in Neuroscience at Edinburgh University before moving to America and receiving a Doctorate in Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. I went on to complete a Postdoctoral year in Long Beach, California, working with military veterans with severe mental health issues.
In 2018, I returned to the UK and joined a highly specialist NHS team, where I remained for 5 years. During that time, I became a borough lead for my team and clinical lead for a trustwide transformation for the Complex Emotional Needs pathway. I am an Honorary Teaching Fellow at UCL as an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy trainer on the CBT for PD certificate.
I offer a 30-minute free phone or video consultation for you to tell me more about what you are looking for and for you to get a sense of whether you would like to work with me. To book a session, please visit my website and contact me using the form provided.
I look forward to hearing from you.
