Radhika Pal:
Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist (BABCP)
Hi, I am Radhika. I currently offer therapy online on Tuesdays afternoons, and in-person therapy sessions on Saturdays at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston.
I understand that the thread that connects us all is our shared humanity. We all have a desire to connect, belong, and feel safe within ourselves and with others. When we experience challenging conditions in life, we adapt to cope with the uncertainty of our needs being met.
Together, with curiosity, courage, and compassion, we will reflect on the past challenges. We will explore how they shaped your identity, and the connection between thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviours that maintain the distress at present.
The aim is to guide you to make choices that help you feel soothed, and align with your values, so they enrich your health and wellbeing in the long-term.
In my one-to-one sessions, I support adults by drawing on principles and techniques from evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Compassion Focused Therapy.
I am trained to support people overcome depression, low self-esteem, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and adjusting to living with chronic health conditions, such as long covid and chronic pain. I also work with various anxiety disorders, including Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Body Dysmorphia Disorder, and Phobias.
I have completed my training as an accredited CBT psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) in 2022. I have been working in Mental Health Services within the NHS since 2014. Whilst completing my Master’s in Health Psychology at UCL in 2014, I gained a special interest in working with clients with long-term health conditions, and in my clinical practice, I use mindfulness-based approaches to help clients build a sense of safety between their mind and body.
