Elo Mets:
Trainee Gestalt Psychotherapist (UKCP, UKAGP)
My name is Elo Mets, I am a trainee psychotherapist working in the low-cost therapy and counselling service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, London E8.
I’m currently studying at Metanoia Institute, London, MSc programme in Gestalt Psychotherapy, in my 4th year of studies.
What I love about Gestalt is that as much as it is a modality of Psychotherapy, it is also a way of life, a way of being, living in the here and now, trusting the process, living a life that is creative, authentic, vital, purposeful and courageous.
I offer an empathetic, attentive, supportive, safe and non-judgmental space. You can explore your thoughts, feelings, senses, and issues you are currently facing in your life. I might also encourage you to not only talk about but to feel and sense, to leave rationale on the side, and to explore and discover new sides, and aspects through creative activity, through bodily movement together with me.
This can bring greater awareness of yourself and your situation, of your way of thinking and perceiving, relating to others, and lead to shifts and personal growth, to a better understanding of your real wants and needs.
My keywords as a therapist are – self-awareness, self-development, self-esteem, peace of mind and balance.
I work on areas such as – fears, anxieties, depressive moods, anger, abuse, trauma, relationship issues, domestic violence, family conflicts, stress, burnout and low self-esteem.
I am currently available to work mostly online (zoom, Skype, etc), but one day per month (Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday) I would be happy to meet with clients in London face to face.
My background:
I live in Estonia but I study in London, so come here on average for one long weekend per month.
Previously I completed a BA and an MBA in Economics. I have more than 10 years of experience working with people in bigger and smaller organisations and groups.
My personal life has provided me with many challenges and lessons which have helped me to grow as a person and have taught me to accept people the way they are at that certain moment.
I’m a member of the UKAGP (UK Association for Gestalt Practitioners).
