Aliyyah Charles-Webley:
Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist (BACP Student Member)
Hello! I am Aliyyah Charles-Webley, a trainee therapist working at HQ Therapy in their low-cost therapy and counselling service located in Haggerston, East London E8.
I am an undergraduate student in my final year of counselling at the University of East London. I am a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) insured student member.
My motivation to become a therapist stems from my desire to provide a safe and nurturing space for those in need of support. Since life isn’t always simple, I think everyone deserves to have a place where they feel safe and have someone, they can confide in.
Even if all you want is for someone to listen to you, I know that asking for guidance can be difficult.
I know how important it is to be heard by others, I’m here to offer a safe space where you can receive support in an accepting atmosphere. I want to give you this space so you can be who you really are and take off your mask if need be.
When establishing our therapeutic relationship, we are going to collaborate with one another and proceed at the pace that suits you. I want people to be at ease enough to express anything they think is best at that very moment.
I use different therapeutic modalities in my work because I recognise that every person is unique and I seek to meet their wants and needs. I recognise that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to life’s issues, flexibility is essential in adjusting therapy techniques to the specific needs of everyone. As a trainee integrative therapist, I integrate many modality methods such as person-centred therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
Even in the face of adversity, I can inspire positive change in my clients by using my innate optimism and hopefulness. In addition, I have a strong commitment to cultural awareness since I understand how different experiences and backgrounds affect how each person sees the world.
Every client should feel heard, understood, and valued in the therapeutic environment I work hard to create, which is inclusive and culturally competent.
I am aware of how crucial reflection and personal development are to providing effective therapy. To give individuals who entrust me with their well-being the best possible support, I am dedicated to continual professional development and self-reflection.
To provide compassionate, useful, and empowering therapeutic services to assist people in navigating the challenges of life and discovering their route to personal growth and fulfilment, I am strongly committed to emulating these traits as a trainee therapist.
Currently, I’m available to work both in-person and remotely with clients.
