Nixon Stewart:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapist (BPC, BACP)
Hello and Welcome. My name is Nixon Stewart, and I am a fully qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with individuals and adults. I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. I have worked with clients with various mental health difficulties and settings in the NHS. My time is divided between the NHS and private practice.
Starting psychotherapy is a big step and may be scary, but you may have noticed that certain situations, such as conflicts in relationships, feeling burnt out, or self-critical thoughts, keep repeating.
You might notice recurring issues like conflicts, burnout, and self-criticism. Starting a new job, ending a relationship, becoming a parent, grieving a loss, or even positive changes can feel overwhelming.
Psychotherapy can help you navigate the uncertainty and emotional weight of transitions, honouring that adjustment takes time.
I offer a compassionate and supportive space where we can work together to understand your difficulties. The sessions are open and shaped by what you bring to discuss. Together, we will look at how your relationships and feelings influence your thoughts and experiences.
By building a trusting relationship, we can notice patterns and work toward insight and lasting change.
I adhere to the codes of practice of the British Psychoanalytic Council and British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, to which I hold registered memberships.
