Tania Raymond:
Integrative Trauma Informed Therapeutic Counsellor (BACP accred)
Hello, I’m Tania.
I’m a qualified, BACP-registered integrative and trauma-informed counsellor, offering in-person sessions at HQ Therapy in Haggerston.
I work with people experiencing emotional distress, trauma, and complex relational difficulties, alongside the impact of identity, race, culture, sexuality, and belonging. If this resonates with you, I offer a warm and reflective space where you can explore what you’re going through without judgement.
Often, what brings us to therapy is not only what is happening now, but deeper emotional patterns shaped by earlier experiences and relationships. You might notice yourself repeating familiar dynamics, reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, or feeling stuck between who you are and who you want to be.
Whether you’re facing a specific difficulty or sensing something isn’t quite right, therapy offers space to slow down, reflect, and begin understanding yourself with curiosity and compassion.
Starting therapy, particularly when speaking about things for the first time, can feel daunting. I hold this in mind, offering gentle support and helping ease the sense of isolation that often comes with coping alone.
How I work:
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma (including childhood and sexual trauma), shame, family and relationship dynamics, and questions of identity, culture, sexuality, and belonging. I have experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and remain attentive to culture, power, difference and lived experience, recognising how social context shapes emotional wellbeing.
As an integrative therapist, my work is relational, holistic, and grounded in genuine curiosity about you as a whole person. Our sessions are guided by what you bring, with an openness to what may sit beneath the surface.
At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach, focusing on empathy, acceptance, and a relationship where you feel seen, heard, and understood. I draw on psychodynamic thinking to make links between the past and the present. Humanistic principles support your capacity for growth, self-awareness, and agency.
In sessions, you can expect me to listen closely, reflect with you, ask thoughtful questions, and explore patterns together. Sometimes we may slow things down to notice what is happening in the moment; at other times, making connections across your experiences.
Trauma-informed therapy:
When working with trauma, I prioritise safety, stabilisation, and pacing. Trauma can live not only in memory but in the body and nervous system, and revisiting difficult experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Where helpful, I integrate grounding, breathwork, and body-based awareness to support regulation and stability. We move gently and collaboratively, ensuring therapy remains a place where you feel held, resourced, and in control of the process.
What I can help with:
- Building emotional resilience and understanding difficult feelings
- Healing trauma
- Understanding patterns shaped by earlier experiences
- Creating healthy boundaries
- Improving relationship dynamics
- Exploring meaning, purpose, and personal growth
I offer open-ended and short-term therapy, online and in person. We will check in regularly to keep our work focused on what feels important to you.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. My fee is £75 per session, or £70 when booked monthly in advance.
You are welcome to arrange a free 20-minute consultation call, or Zoom, to talk about what you’re looking for from therapy, ask questions, and get a sense of how I work
Meaningful change often begins not with solutions, but with feeling understood and accepted.
