Alessia Vignali (BACP):
Integrative Counsellor & Coach
My name is Alessia Vignali, I am a qualified integrative counsellor and coach practicing at HQ Therapy Rooms in Hackney, E8.
I draw on multiple approaches’ tools and techniques in order to provide the best fit for each client’s needs, offering a confidential, non-judgemental space where you could feel safe and contained.
What I do:
I base my approach on Personal Consultancy (Popovic & Jinks, 2014) which is a model for the integration of counselling and coaching in which I have been trained by its creators at the University of East London where I completed my Postgraduate Diploma. I believe that a person’s life cannot be divided into compartmentalized parts but rather needs to be addressed holistically in terms of thoughts, feelings, and behaviours whilst at the same time considering goals, dreams, and aspirations as in these lies the ultimate power to motivate and facilitate change.
Through our working collaboration we will aim to increase self-awareness, facilitate exploration of surfacing themes and arrive at deeper reflections to assist you in reaching your own solutions or a more functional appraisal to any situation.
I have more than 14 years’ experience working with vulnerable people within the addiction field and I am currently employed as a recovery worker for the NHS. I can work with any type of addiction, this includes drugs, alcohol, smoking, gambling, food, sex, and other compulsive behaviours.
I am also a qualified children’s counsellor and volunteered for Place2Be in a primary school using a combination of person-centered, psychodynamic and play-therapy approaches to enable children to express hidden feelings, having their voices heard, facilitate the many transitions a young person faces in their developmental stages.
Other areas I work with are:
Anxiety, panic attacks, depression, abuse, suicidal tendencies, physical and mental health issues, rape, DV, gender dysmorphia, sexuality, relationships, divorce, loss, separation, marital difficulties, self-harming, death, disability.
PGDip in Integrative Counselling & Coaching UEL University, CPCAB Certificate Counselling Children, BSc’s Psychology & Criminology, NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care, CBT training with APT.
Registered member of BACP: 00893321.
