Jane Anderson MBACP (Accred):
My name is Jane Anderson, I am an experienced psychodynamic counsellor based at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, Hackney E8 offering short and longer-term therapy.
I qualified as a psychodynamic counsellor in 1995 and also have a post-qualifying certificate in cognitive behavioural skills. I have been an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) since 2005 and a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA) since 2017.
I have experience gained in the voluntary sector, the NHS and in private practice of working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds presenting with a variety of concerns such as:
- Abuse including domestic violence and sexual abuse
- Identity including sexuality, gender, neurodiversity, and giftedness
Working in a major London NHS hospital for the past 12 years I have gained a particular interest and expertise in women’s health and the issues that emerge for women during their fertility journey. This includes working with women during fertility treatment, during pregnancy and postnatally, as well as working with individuals or couples following a traumatic birth, miscarriage or stillbirth. I am experienced in working with clients from the LGBTQ+ community and addressing the particular issues that may arise for them in considering parenthood.
I aim to provide a safe, confidential, reliable space for you to explore your concerns. Working collaboratively to understand the world from your point of view will enable us to think together about the things that are troubling you, to understand more about what is going on for you and to address changes you might want to make.
In the first instance I offer an initial consultation appointment which is an opportunity to think together about your concerns and how we might work together. Following this, sessions would usually be on a weekly basis on the same day and time each week.
I charge £60 for each 50-minute session for individuals and £75 for couples.
I also provide clinical supervision to counsellors and therapists.
