Yasmine Sommers:
Trainee Psychotherapist (MBACP Registered & UKCP student member)
Hi, my name is Yasmine Sommers, I am a registered member of BACP and a trainee UKCP psychotherapist working in the low-cost therapy service at HQ Therapy Rooms in Haggerston, and I am currently partway through my advanced post-grad diploma on the UKCP accreditation pathway at Regents University London.
Every one of us may occasionally encounter moments that can have a disruptive impact on our lives, our sense of self, and how we experience ourselves in the world
You may have feelings of being overwhelmed, anxious, or suffer from low self-esteem or loneliness.
You may be going through difficulties in relationships, unable to understand your feelings, or just managing life, yet knowing you need something more.
Speaking in private with someone outside of your social circle of friends and family may help you to make sense of the thoughts, emotions, and circumstances that are causing you concern or grief.
It can give you the flexibility to see things from different perspectives and to feel more connected to your creativity and energy.
My Practice:
I am an integrative psychotherapist, which means I combine various therapeutic tools and approaches to serve the needs and goals of my clients and to help identify their core emotional difficulties. My approach is tailor-made for each client as I tune into their unique lived experience.
It all begins with sitting together in a private space and talking about whatever feelings and thoughts you wish to bring. I have helped clients who have experienced difficulties with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, anger, feelings of hopelessness and loss, and relationship difficulties.
My practice is grounded in my commitment to creating a safe, confidential, secure, and non-judgemental environment where my clients can freely explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours at a pace that feels right for them.
Over time, a better understanding of the underlying motives and causes of your problem can lead to a greater sense of integration and control in your life and, importantly, to more authentic relationships with others.
Creating space for inner experience enables us to trust in our own inner guidance, promoting self-awareness and self-acceptance, allowing us to consider new perspectives and new ways of being. These are essential elements for growth and any transformative healing process.
I am a fully insured and paid-up member of MBACP And a trainee member of UKCP.
